For almost 30 years, Markus Frings has been a well-known voice on South Tyrol radio, emerging on the Radio C rock station, and later appearing on Radio Tirol and other radio broadcasters. In the mid-1990s Frings, Heiner Feuer and Karl Kleinrubatscher started the radio network, "Südtirol Journal", today known as Funkhaus GmbH, Südtirol 1. Since 1997 Frings has worked as a TV designer, program presenter and directs documentaries.
One of the founding members of Mediaart Production Coop, Frings started Moviemento GmbH in 2008, in Bolzano. Their best-known Internet shows include satirical programs such as "Ban Luis" and "Wöchenschau". Moviemento also specializes in advertising production and marketing promotion for local companies. Together with Reinhold Messner, Markus Frings produced a film in 2018 about the history of mountaineering in the Dolomites.
