Daniel Mahlknecht (born 1975 in Bolzano, Southtyrol) graduated from the “ZeLIG Film-school“ in Bolzano in 1997. During his military service (1998-1999) he was a cameraman in the press office of the Alpini troupes. In 2000 he founded the “Blue Star Film“ that was renamed in 2005 to “da Palmer Film“, a production company offering also telecine services and with a small rental attached offering grip and special equipment. He was participant at Berlinale Talent Campus (2005) in the camera section. From 2023-2024 he took a camera acting class at the “Schauspiel Akademie Südtirol“ and since 2025 (until 2029) he studies acting at the
“ARTEMiS Schauspielstudio Innsbruck”. Daniel is a FAS founding member.
