Karin Duregger

Karin Duregger, born in Merano, studied Landscape Design and History of Art in Vienna and Hamburg. She works as a freelance writer and director of documentaries and as speaker of radio programs and podcast. Her film work focuses on socially critical themes, with an emphasis on diversity, gender equality, immigration and integration, as well as ecological sustainability. She has also previously worked on historical films about the First and Second World Wars. Her films "Luis Trenker – A Man and His Legends" (2015) and "The Ratline – Nazis on the Run Through South Tyrol" (2014) have been rebroadcast multiple times on television in Austria and other countries. Karin Duregger is currently also working in a writers' room on the development of several feature film series.
