Beniamino was born in Bolzano, South Tyrol, in April 1985. Here he attended the high school of Graphic Design. After his first experience on a set in the TV series Commissario Rex and after working as 3rd director assistant for Il grande sogno by Michele Placido, he decided to attend a 3-year course of camera and lighting at Zelig – School for Documentary, Television and New Media.
He began to work as grip during school for many different movies like Prinzessin by Steffen Zacke, Anita B. by Roberto Faenza, Fuori Mira by Erik Bernasconi, Everest by Baltasar Kormákur, and many others.
Since 2016 he has worked as Key Grip for German and Italian film productions and commercials. He is the cinematographer of the documentary films by Stefano Lisci: Bar Mario, 2016 (winner of the Verona Film Festival and screened at many other film festivals) and Luca+Silvana, 2019 (winner of the Walther Awards at Bolzano Film Festival and screened at Visioni Italiane 2020 and Trento Film Festival 2021).
IL ROSPO E I L DIAMANTE is his first documentary as director.
