Alexander Fontana (born 1989 in Bolzano, Italy) is a professional cinematographer and certified drone pilot known for his work on documentaries, short and feature films.
He graduated in cinematography from ZeLIG – School for Documentary, Television and New Media in 2016 and has since worked on projects ranging from intimate documentaries to international fiction films. His work includes classical and modern camera techniques, as well as aerial perspectives as a drone pilot and aerial gimbal operator.
His cinematography is characterised by visual clarity and a thoughtful use of light and composition.
