Alessio Vasarin (1988) is an Italian director and producer from Bolzano. In 2014, he founded the production company Frabiatofilm together with producer and screenwriter Michela Parlavecchio. His first feature film, the science fiction drama Strings (2015), co-directed with Sandro Tarter, premiered at the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival in the Spazio Italia section. In addition to directing short films such as La tana (2017), Détour (2020), and Agosto (2022), he has also worked as a producer with director Giulia Palaia on the short films Agriope (2020) and Due madri (2022), as well as on the feature project Delcisa, currently in development and selected for the Veneto Writing Lab 2021 under the guidance of Giacomo Durzi. His latest short film, Una notte, was developed within the framework of the ShorTS Development & Pitching 2022, with support from Massimiliano Nardulli.
