Director of Photography

Emanuela Licenziato is a cinematographer graduated at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. Her work focuses on the relationship between light, time, and space, where light becomes the primary narrative element and image quality the visual translation of emotion. She often shoots on film, using it as a tool for observation and visual truth. Her credits as Director of Photography include 16mm projects such as Rue (documentary), Phantasma (short film), and Maskara (music video), as well as digital projects including Lamia, Paracadute, Pity Party (short films), and Chiacchierià (documentary), winner of Best Documentary at the Quartieri Spagnoli Film Festival and Best DocuFilm at the Mediterraneo Festival Corto. Maskara earned recognition at the Toronto International Music Video Festival and the Europe Music Video Awards, as well as at several international music showcases. Her work has been presented at festivals including Alice nella Città, Laceno d’Oro, Corti d’Argento, and Bogoshorts. She collaborates with production companies and institutions including Malombra Films, Lupin Film, Veevelo Production, and the Politecnico di Torino.
